11 Best Cases for Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 and S24+ are two of the best phones you can buy in 2026. They’re fast, the screens are gorgeous, and the new flat-sided design feels great in the hand. But that aluminum and glass sandwich is just begging for a scratch or, worse, a shatter. Don’t risk it.

I’ve spent the last month swapping cases on my own Galaxy S24+, dropping them on my office floor (sorry, landlord), and seeing how they hold up to daily life. Some are built like tanks, others are so thin you’ll forget they’re there. And some just get the balance perfectly right.

Its multi-layer design, with a soft rubber outer layer and a hard inner shell, is rated for 5X the military drop-test standard. That’s not a typo.

I’ve used the Defender on countless phones, and just like the popular OtterBox S24 Ultra model, this version for the S24+ is a beast. The port covers do a fantastic job of keeping dust and lint out of the USB-C port, and the included holster doubles as a kickstand for watching videos. It even has an antimicrobial additive, which is a nice touch.

The Downside: This case is thick. It adds significant bulk and weight to the S24+, so it’s not for someone who loves a slim phone.

 

 

Spigen Tough Armor for Galaxy S24+

At $45, the Spigen Tough Armor is my favorite balance of serious protection and everyday usability. It uses foam and Spigen’s “Air Cushion” tech in the corners to absorb impacts, easily passing military-grade drop tests. It feels solid without being as chunky as the Defender.

The built-in kickstand is the killer feature here. It’s sturdy enough for propping the phone up on my desk during lunch and clicks securely back into place when I’m done. It also works perfectly with my wireless chargers.

The Downside: While it’s slimmer than a Defender, it’s still a bit bulky compared to minimalist cases.

For $50, the OtterBox Commuter is for people who want OtterBox protection without the Defender’s size. It offers drop protection rated for 3X the military standard, which is more than enough for fumbles getting out of the car or walking down the street.

It’s a two-piece design that’s much easier to slide into a pocket than its bigger brother. You still get port covers to block dust, and it feels great in the hand with a confident grip. It’s the perfect middle ground.

The Downside: You don’t get a kickstand or holster with this model.

 

 

Supcase UB Pro for Galaxy S24+

The Supcase UB Pro is an absolute steal at just $25. It has been drop-tested from 20 feet, which is frankly absurd. It delivers 360-degree protection with a multi-layer design that feels indestructible.

You get all the extras here, too: a built-in kickstand that works in portrait and landscape mode, plus a swiveling belt-clip holster. For the price, nothing else offers this level of sheer, brute-force protection.

The Downside: The built-in screen protector can interfere with the fingerprint sensor, and it doesn’t support wireless charging.

The UAG Monarch will set you back $60, but it looks and feels worth it. It has a premium, five-layer construction that features alloy metal hardware and a signature honeycomb traction grip on the sides. It feels amazing to hold.

UAG says it exceeds military drop-test standards, and I believe it. The corners are heavily reinforced, and the buttons are oversized and tactile, making them super easy to press. This case just screams quality.

The Downside: It’s one of the more expensive options on the list.

Sometimes you just want a thin layer of protection against scratches and minor bumps. These cases add grip and style without turning your sleek S24 into a brick.

 

 

Pitaka MagEZ Case 4 for Galaxy S24+

Ringing up at $70, the Pitaka MagEZ Case 4 is for the true minimalist. It’s made from aramid fiber, the same stuff used in body armor, so it’s incredibly strong yet unbelievably thin and light. I measured it at just 1.1mm thick.

This case is all about the feel. It has a soft, textured finish that adds a ton of grip. It’s also fully MagSafe compatible, and the magnets are strong, holding onto my car mount without any issues.

The Downside: This case offers excellent scratch protection, but its thin design provides very limited protection from serious drops.

The Downside: The powerful magnets in the back can sometimes interfere with the S Pen if you’re using it near the center of the screen.

For just $20, the Spigen Liquid Air is the best value in a slim case, period. It’s made of a flexible TPU material with a subtle textured triangle pattern on the back that adds a surprising amount of grip.

It’s super lightweight and adds almost no bulk, but still has raised edges around the screen and camera bar for protection when you set it down. For basic, everyday protection, it’s all most people need.

The Downside: This is a thin case, so it offers minimal protection from major drops.

 

 

ESR Kickstand Case for Galaxy S24+

Another great value at $20, the ESR Kickstand Case is perfect for anyone who watches a lot of content on their phone. The clear polycarbonate back shows off your S24’s color, and ESR claims it has an anti-yellowing coating that actually works.

The metal kickstand built into the camera housing is genius. It’s incredibly sturdy and lets you prop the phone up at multiple angles in both portrait and landscape. It’s a simple feature that I ended up using constantly.

The Downside: It’s more protective than no case at all, but it won’t survive the same abuse as an armored case.

The Downside: That super-grippy texture can sometimes make it a little tough to slide in and out of tight pockets.

 

 

Ringke Fusion Clear Matte for Galaxy S24+

At $20, the Ringke Fusion Clear Matte is my top pick if you want a clear case. The matte finish on the back does a fantastic job of resisting fingerprints and smudges, which plague most other clear cases.

It’s thin and light but still has military-grade certified corners for drop protection where it counts most. The cutouts are perfect, and the buttons feel clicky and responsive. It’s a simple case, executed perfectly.

The Downside: Like most clear TPU cases, there’s a chance it could yellow over a long period of time.

 

 

How I Picked These S24 Cases
